Original “Oasis” lounge chair by Wim Rietveld for Ahrend De Cirkel (1958), an iconic piece of Dutch industrial design that received the Signe d’Or award in 1959.
This rare model features a slender black metal frame with clean, angular lines, bakelite armrests and upholstered cushions in a fresh aqua fabric, perfectly suited for modern, minimalist or industrial interiors.
The chair has been reupholstered in the last five years in a durable green/blue (aqua) upholstery fabric, making it ready to use without further restoration. (Two pieces available.)
The low, slightly reclined seat offers relaxed lounge comfort while the open frame keeps the overall look light and graphic, ideal for living rooms, studios or office reception areas.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition.
The bakelite armrests are intact with no chips, the black metal frame shows only light age-related surface scratches, and the upholstery is clean, firm and recently renewed.
