After two decades in the world of digital design, Studio Stella’s founder began to have a profound realization: the products he was shaping were ephemeral in nature. They served their purpose, but their value was temporary and destined to fade with the rapid pace of technological advancement. This revelation led to a dramatic career change, rooted in something lasting—design that lasts for generations.

Timeless design has always been in his DNA

The love for timeless design was always there, deeply rooted in his DNA. His grandfather, a visionary himself, was responsible for designing the interiors of public spaces for the municipality of Amsterdam, including iconic projects such as the city hall. Visiting his grandparents’ home was like taking a journey through a design wonderland. Objects such as the Vitsœ 606 wall system hanging elegantly on the wall, the Spectrum BZ slatted bench and the Ahrend Result chairs around the dining table—masterpieces by the legendary Friso Kramer—triggered his young imagination. These objects, with their clean lines and purposeful simplicity, left an indelible impression.
