His grandfather, a visionary in his own right, was responsible for shaping the interiors of public spaces for the municipality of Amsterdam, including projects as iconic as the city hall. Visits to his grandparents’ home were like stepping into a design wonderland. Pieces like the Vitsœ 606 shelving system hanging elegantly on the wall, the Spectrum BZ slatted bench, and the Ahrend Result chairs around the dinner table—masterpieces by the legendary Friso Kramer—captured his young imagination.
